What you see

Hello Friends! I love and need the sentiment on today's card! I put the card right on my dining room table so that I can see it every time I walk by. It's a good reminder for me!!

Today's card uses Unity stamps and is entered in the Unity Challenge to use circles and the Ippity Challenge to make a CAS (clean and simple) card. To make the card I first chose my center circle image from the May 11 KOM. I paper pieced the sweet little flower and added the sentiment from the Feb 11 KOM. After that I punched circles that were 3/4 inch, 1 inch, and 1 and 1/4 inch. I matted them together off-center and placed them in a line on the card. I drew a frame around my card with a skinny black marker. I used Circa 1934 from Cosmo Cricket for this card. Love those colors!!

I hope that you see lots of good things today!!

Your friendship warms my heart

LinkHappy Friday and Happy Friends with Flair! Be sure to stop by the Unity blog to see all the wonderful creations!

Today's card was a fun one to make. I just started stamping and creating. I added images, threw out images, distressed with ink, paper pieced and used a flower I've had forever! I didn't have a sketch, but just went with the flow.

I decided to make my card a friendship card because I've been thinking a lot about my friends lately. Friends who make me laugh; friends who listen; friends who care. They help me through tough times and I help them too. Thank heavens for friends:)

Friends with Flair!

Happy Friday! I made this card for the new Unity Kit of the Month Sketch Challenge. I used the lovely Gertie Stella and Rose DP from My Mind's Eye. To make the bottom scallop edge, I used 1 inch circles. The butterfly is paper pieced two times. The first butterfly is adhered right to the circle and the second butterfly is popped up on top of the first. I added some bling and I was finished!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

tweet tweet

Hello! Today's card is for Unity's monthly challenge. The challenge this month is to incorporate birds into a card. I just love this sweet little bird image and thought that it begged to be paper pieced! The bling inside the flower stickers is actually red. I'm not sure why it looks so black in the photo! If you'd like to join in on the challenge, you can check it out here.

Balloons make every brithday better!

Happy Saturday! I am so thrilled that the sun is out and that I saw my first robin yesterday! There's no denying it, spring is in the air.

I fell in love with this bike and balloons image the minute I saw it in the Feb11 Kit of the Month from Unity! It is such a happy little image. It reminds me of being a kid and getting a bike for my birthday. The saying is so perfect too!! Who couldn't use a few balloons on their birthday, whether they're getting a bike or not??

Friends with Flair!

Good Morning! I created five of these cards for friends of mine at work. Like many school districts in Illinois and the nation, our district let go all nontenured teachers. My friends are such wonderful teachers who I feel blessed to work with. My hope is that they are all called back, but there just aren't enough positions to go around with all the cuts my district is facing. Anyway, I wanted to give them a little pick-me -up and tell them how great they are and how much I care!

My card is made from several Unity Kit of the Months. If you'd like to learn how to get some of Unity's wonderful stamps at a great deal, click on the sale picture below!!

Blogger's Color Challenge

Two posts in one day? Incredible!! This card is for the Blogger's Color Challenge to use peach, green and a neutral color. This was definitely out of my comfort zone! I rarely use peach or green and had a hard time even finding dp or cs to fit the bill. After lots of searching, I came up with this dp from the Library Ledger paper by PtI and Blush Blossom cs by Stampin' UP. I happened to find a peachish button too. I'm happy with how it turned out. I may have to use these colors a little more often!
