Happy Day! Today is my last day before I go back to school. Our first day back is a day of meetings. Ugh! I decided that I would spend today crafting and getting in on some challenges. My card uses the stamp set "Tandem" by The Craft's Meow. I am following the awesome sketch made by my blog friend, Lynn Miller, for The Craft's Meow Challenge.

You're so sweet!
Hello! I created my super sweet thank you note following The Craft's Meow November/December Sketch Challenge. I used their set, Life is a Carnival, for the ice cream cones and sentiment. I've been able to use that set in lots of different ways! Maybe for Christmas I'll get a new set or two....Santa, are you listening??

You are a Winner!!
Wow! Two posts in one day! If I don't get this out tonight, I don't know when I will. Tomorrow is the first day of school for teachers. I am ready!! I am excited to start the new year with my students from last year and my new students! I am looping with my first grade class to second grade, plus I will be getting 6 new students.
For my card, I followed the sketch challenge at Simply Scrapping Crafts. You can see it below. I am enjoying all the carnival images that are out now for stampers. I've combined two stamp sets for this card. Don't you love those little star gems? I found them in my stash and was happy to have them:)
Have a great week!

1 is good, 2 is much better!
Good Morning! Today's card is just for fun! I enjoyed so many parts of this card. The first is the sentiment. It got me to thinking of things that are better in twos...like friends, pieces of chocolate, socks, mittens, and rainbows. I absolutely LOVE that the "two" in this card is a tandem bicycle! I also had fun with my mini ticket dienamic from My Favorite Things. You can see it by the sweet lace and flower. The flower is from my mom's stash! The color purple is a winner too! So much to like in one little card:)

I've got your back
Happy Sunday! Don't you just love the sweet little tandem bike? I used The Craft's Meow August Sketch Challenge for the design of my card. I flipped the sketch and took some liberties. I went for the shabby vintage look with my card. I love to play around with different styles and this was a fun one. I was inspired by Viola Mahr's samples from The Craft's Meow stamp release!

Life is a Carnival
Good Morning! I have some more cards from my fun new set, "Life is a Carnival" by The Craft's Meow. They both go with a different challenge at Simply Scrapping Crafts. The first card is for the challenge to use embossing. It's been a long time since I heat embossed! It was fun to get out my pigment stamp pads and use those juicy colors:) I love this fun carousel too, look closely at the animals on it!! The inside sentiment is "Enjoy the ride of your life."
The second card is for the challenge to NOT use white or cream. I had this great dp picked out, then I realized it was all lined with white! Now as I'm looking at the aqua dp it seems to have little cream dots. We'll just ignore that, okay?!? The colors are a bit brighter and clear IRL. The flash glare seems to be covering up some details.Hope you're having a great day!

Sending you sunshine
Good Morning! I'm trying out a new sketch challenge: Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. I've noticed that others have used these sketches and they look like fun. Today I used "Sending You Sunshine" from The Craft's Meow. I stamped the tree and images and then paper pieced the clothing. I just love this sweet little set:) The cloud background is from Pebbles and all the other dp is from Echo Park's Summer Days. I plan to use this sketch again. I really like it!Have a great day!

Happy Summer!
Happy Fourth of July to all my friends here in the U.S.A.!

Hello! Today marks what I think of as the middle of summer, so a summer card seemed appropriate. I have to also admit that I only have one stamp set (so far!) from the Craft's Meow, and I'm using it today for their new sketch challenge. You can see the sketch below. I really love this dp because Fourth of July in my hometown meant the coming of the carnival! When I was little, that was a really big deal. Now kids can go to Great America when they want, but we had just a few days to go to the carnival. Great memories!! (As a matter of fact, the Craft's Meow has this great new carnival set that I'm just going to have to buy!)
I stamped the banner and colored it in. I decided that the line holding it up should be some fun twine. I also have other twine wrapped around the card. I stamped, cut out, colored and popped up the sun and cloud for some extra interest. I added two green gems, matted it all and I was done. It's a fairly simple card, but it was fun to do!
