make a wish

Hello! Today's card is for the JUGS challenge to use the "spotlight" technique. I have to tell you that the green color on the cakes is actually yellow IRL! What's with that?!? The color combo works nicely without that wicked neon green there!! Can't wait to build that light box....

I enjoyed working on this card. I haven't used the spotlight technique recently and it was fun to do it again. I used one of my favorite retired sets from Stampin' UP, Simply Sweet. I added the layers, some prima flowers, gems and a sentiment from Mixed Messages by Papertrey Ink. I love this dp but I can't remember what company it's from. All I have are bits and pieces that I've hoarded for a while:)

This technique is making me itch for some great floral stamps to try it on. I really need them, don't I?

Have a great night! Tomorrow's Friday!!

birthday girl cards

Good Morning! Today is my card for the birthday girls! For some reason the brighter pink looks rather startling in the photo. IRL it is much softer and blends in well with the other colors. The image is also very glittery, but somehow I missed that in the photo also!! This is what happens to those of us who craft at night and take pictures indoors. I'll have to investigate other ways to take pictures. Any suggestions are welcome!!

Enjoy the Moment

LOVE these colors! They are happy colors to me, and who wouldn't smile looking at this fun Basicgrey patterned paper? Just delicious!

I mixed, matched and borrowed to make this card. I don't have the oval Nestabilities yet, but I plan to get them soon. That's where my great friend, Barb, came in. Then I used products from a bunch of different companies. No surprise that I had lots of these colors all around me! Sometimes it's just fun to get out all the *stuff* I have in the same colors and swirl them around on my table. I was certainly enjoying the moment!

Hope you have time to enjoy a moment or two or three today! Take the time. You're worth it!!
