happy easter

Hello! I have to give a shout out today to one of my favorite blogs. Melissa Phillips' blog, LilyBean's Paperie, is a source of much inspiration for me. I enjoy and appreciate her words and her projects. Today's card was inspired by Melissa Phillips' challenge. She chose an awesome photo inspiration that you can see here. The colors are beautiful, but not my typical palette. I enjoyed playing with them, though, and I'm happy with the result.

It's your day!

Hello! YEA for being able to take photos outdoors again! The sun is shining so brightly I even have a few shadows that I couldn't seem to eliminate. I made this card for the Blogger's Challenge to use spring flowers. My marker shading is very obvious because I didn't have copics in the right color. I still like the card, though! My great aunt's birthday is in April and I made this card for her. I'm so ready for spring flowers!!

Fashion Forward!

Hello!! I am LOVING my time to play in my craft room and stamp, cut and use ribbon, bling and great dp! I made this card for Unity's Challenge to make a Fashion Forward card. About a month ago, I saw a card made with this image that used pink for the leopard print purse. I don't remember whose card it was, but thank you!!! I went with some bright colors this time...I'm ready for them with all the gray days of winter. I would have loved some bright purple ribbon, but I couldn't find any in my stash. White it is!

Balloons make every brithday better!

Happy Saturday! I am so thrilled that the sun is out and that I saw my first robin yesterday! There's no denying it, spring is in the air.

I fell in love with this bike and balloons image the minute I saw it in the Feb11 Kit of the Month from Unity! It is such a happy little image. It reminds me of being a kid and getting a bike for my birthday. The saying is so perfect too!! Who couldn't use a few balloons on their birthday, whether they're getting a bike or not??

Friends with Flair!

Good Morning! I created five of these cards for friends of mine at work. Like many school districts in Illinois and the nation, our district let go all nontenured teachers. My friends are such wonderful teachers who I feel blessed to work with. My hope is that they are all called back, but there just aren't enough positions to go around with all the cuts my district is facing. Anyway, I wanted to give them a little pick-me -up and tell them how great they are and how much I care!

My card is made from several Unity Kit of the Months. If you'd like to learn how to get some of Unity's wonderful stamps at a great deal, click on the sale picture below!!

Blogger's Color Challenge

Two posts in one day? Incredible!! This card is for the Blogger's Color Challenge to use peach, green and a neutral color. This was definitely out of my comfort zone! I rarely use peach or green and had a hard time even finding dp or cs to fit the bill. After lots of searching, I came up with this dp from the Library Ledger paper by PtI and Blush Blossom cs by Stampin' UP. I happened to find a peachish button too. I'm happy with how it turned out. I may have to use these colors a little more often!

Hello, Friends!! I'm so happy that it is Saturday and I've had the chance to get crafty:) Today's card is for My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge. I took a bit of liberty with the sketch; something I usually do not do. My mojo was heading in another direction and I just went for it! I used this awesome dp from my scrap stash, unfortunately I do not remember who makes it...possibly Echo Park? I'd love to get some more because it just makes me happy!! Hope you have a great day!
