Happy 50th

Hello Friends! Due to my computer crashing and having to buy and set up a new one, I've been gone awhile. Luckily I had saved all my photos and documents to an external hard drive. If you don't do that now, I'd strongly encourage you to look into it!

Today's card is for my husband's aunt and uncle who are celebrating their 50th anniversary this month. I used the CAS-ual Fridays sketch for my card design. It's a bit hard to see, but I used gold sparkly cardstock for the numbers and matting. The stamped sentiments are in gold also.

Halloween Greetings

Hello, Friends! I had a fun time with this card. I love the Halloween paper with the silhouettes in fancy frames and I found a Unity stamp to match it. I blinged out the frame and gave my bird a witches hat. Then I cut out two borders and attached them to the sides of the card. Fun!!

My card goes with four challenges: (a first for me)
JUGS 109-orange, green, purple, black
One Stop Craft Challenge 153-Halloween
Simon Says Stamp-Halloween/Goth
Wee Memories 72-Holiday Madness

I'm also linking up to this fun linky party:

Happy Friday, Friends with Flair!!
If you didn't come from Unity, hop back there later
to see everyone's wonderful creations!

I'm sharing two cards I made with the awesome Unity set,Hauntingly Sweet. I think that it was last year about this time that I fell in love with this set after looking through FWF. I knew I had to get it:) I love the little Halloween tree and I think I like it best when I embossed it in black for the top card.

Have a great weekend!!

Don't you just love those adorable spiders?! I thought the googly eyes would be a fun addition. I used the Clean and Simple Sketch 161 for this card LO. I think you'll see the sketch in there:)

Kid's Happy Birthday!

Good Morning! Today's card is a bit brighter than my usual style. I thought the colors were fun for a kid's birthday. This is my last challenge card for Unity's World Card Making Days Challenges. It is for their first challenge that is to dry emboss a background and then sand it. When you use white core paper this is what it looks like. I thought my new alphabet background embossing folder was perfect for this!!

Happy Halloween

Hello! This card is my entry for Unity's WCMD Challenge 4-Inspiration Photo and Unity's Oct KOM sketch challenge. You can see the inspiration photo below. I loved all the flowing lines of the feathers on the hats. They reminded me of the background paper I used. The photo is dark and has a feathery mask, so that seemed perfect for a Halloween card. The velvet flowers I used seemed as if they could be laying in the photo collection with all those luscious objects.

World Card Making Day

Happy World Card Making Day! I hope that you are able to have fun and get inky today. To make my card, I paper pieced the house, windows, trees and sun. It's time consuming, but I just love how paper piecing looks.

I used Unity's WCMD Sketch Challenge for the basic design of my card. I am also entering the Crazy 4 Challenges this week. Their challenge is to make a card for Operation Write Home. Basically, what one does is stamp cards for service people to send to their loved ones back home. I think it's a fantastic idea:)
