Hello, Friends! I received an email today about challenges The Craft's Meow was hosting. Since I'm always looking for a good challenge (and a chance for free STAMPS) I thought I'd give two of them a try. I didn't use The Craft's Meow stamps because I just have one set that I keep using over and over! I'm going to be heading off to buy some more after my post:)
My next card is a shabby birthday card for the Simply Scrapping Crafts Challenge. Their sketch is below. I used Papertrey Ink's Mixed Messages for the sentiments on my tickets. All the rest of the card is made from bits and pieces that I've collected and hoarded,er,saved over the years. This isn't my normal style, but I had fun playing with it!
Hello Friends! Today I am playing with CAS-ual Fridays and their Sweets and Treats Challenge. The cupcake that I paper pieced is from Unity. I don't know which set because it came in a bunch of stamps that I won. It's an adorable image and easy to paper piece. The dp is from an older BasicGrey paper pad: Nook and Pantry. A scalloped edge and a simple greeting finished it off. Yea for sweet treats, especially CHOCOLATE ones:)
Hello Friends! Just in time, I have my card for last Friday's CAS-ual Friday challenge. The challenge was to add a special edge to your card. My special edge is a scalloped edge cut with the medium scallop die from My Favorite Things. Obviously I'm still into red, white and blue and the Jenni Bowlin papers fit perfectly! The stars on the top were stamped and then punched out with a star punch. Then I punched a smaller star and added it to the center of the big star with a pop dot. The stars are actually popped up a bit from the card. I'm happy with how it turned out. I seem to be more of a CAS stamper all the time:)
Hello! I have the Fourth of July on my mind today. I love the colors red, white and blue! I don't really send July Fourth cards, but I decided to make some today anyway... it just made me happy:) I followed the June Sketch for You to Try for the LO for my card.
Good Morning! I made this card for a very special lady who is retiring this summer from our school. She is one of our Assistant Principals and I also happen to know her because I got my master's degree with her. She is such a cheerful person and always willing to help and listen. She will be missed be everyone!!
Hello! Another card today for two very special people in my life: my mom and dad. This month they are celebrating their 47th anniversary! They set such a wonderful example of how loving and caring a relationship can be. I am so happy that they have each other! The quote on the inside of the card reads "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart." (Helen Keller)
Happy Sunday! It was so sunny and glorious here!! I found time to plant AND to stamp. What a great day:) Today my card fits for two challenges, an unusual occasion for me. Both the JUGS Challenge to use the colors of the rainbow and the CAS-ual Friday Challenge to use bling just spoke to me! I think this image from Unity works perfectly, too! I paper pieced the fun birthday cake, added gems to one layer and added glitter to the candle flame. Such a happy and bright birthday card:)
I'm back with another card tonight! This card is for CAS-ual Fridays, a new challenge blog. This week's challenge is to use buttons and twine on your card. I used some of my favorite dp, Thrift Shop by October Afternoon! I'm hoarding all the little scraps I can:) 
Happy Day! I am so excited that the sun has made its reappearance in our sky! After such a dark and dreary late winter/early spring, the brightness is wonderful! I wanted today's card to reflect that happy feeling. I started with the JUGS challenge for my LO. I added some extra layers and played around a bit with the sketch. I got the chance to use my sun and kite dienamics from My Favorite Things. The sun is made of felt and the kite is made from dp and popped up from the card. Don't you just love that Caribbean Twine hanging from it?!?
Hello! Today's card is for the JUGS challenge to use the "spotlight" technique. I have to tell you that the green color on the cakes is actually yellow IRL! What's with that?!? The color combo works nicely without that wicked neon green there!! Can't wait to build that light box....
I am so excited to find out that Riley and Company has challenges on its blog! I just discovered this delightful moose a few months ago and I'm in LOVE:) He makes me smile, laugh and be happy! Who couldn't use THAT?!?
Oh!! I am just loving my Pure Innocence. She is so sweet! I really enjoy coloring her. Today's card is for two challenges, Crazy4Challenges 70 (thank you card) and JUGS Challenge 67 (aqua, coral, green). I really had to search to find these colors in my stash. They are definitely out of my comfort zone! The card actually looks a lot pinker than it truly is. The color is Blush Blossom from SU and is a light peachy color, the closest I had to coral. This card uses three different stamp sets and was fun to create!
This was such a fun card to make! I was laughing the whole time because I have a friend who says that "every moment is perfect." I had to give this card to him, of course!! Poor Riley, I bet he's not thinking the moment is perfect!!
My first Christmas card for this year!! Just a fun, little start for my collection. The little elf's shoes and pants are glittery, but it's hard to see in the picture. I don't know how much "joy" he's having...LOL.
LOVE these colors! They are happy colors to me, and who wouldn't smile looking at this fun Basicgrey patterned paper? Just delicious!
