Isn't this stamp awesome?!? I got it from my secret valentine at school. The first thing I did was to ink it up to make her a card. I used twinkling H20s and brown pastel for my coloring. The image is embossed in chocolate brown, but that doesn't show up so well in this photo. I must admit that it took me lots longer to do this than anticipated! I had a trial run of sorts and then painstakingly colored the final version. I used the colors from this week's JUGS challenge because they were perfect!!

February Sketch For You to Try
Hello! I just love this image from Totally Stamplicious! I have a friend who is turning 50 soon, so this card is for her. I'll admit it; I'm closing in on 50 too! It seems to me like 50 really IS the new 30.
I used the February SFYTT for the layout of my card. You should check it out. Jen shares a terrific new sketch each month!

thanks so much
Hello! It's been a crazy couple of weeks for me. I was SO looking forward to stamping today! I'm playing along with the CAS-ual Fridays challenge to paper piece. I really enjoy paper piecing, so this card was fun. I'll let you in on a little secret...this flower was original stamped on a white card. I tried to draw a line to serve as the ground. It turned out awful!! So I just grabbed some green paper and attached the grass at the bottom and cut a square out! I used a Bella Blvd stamp set from Unity, a sentiment stamp from the Michael's $1 section and Green at Heart papers by Basic Grey.
